Sport PEI received funding to develop programming aligned with the True Sport movement, aimed at strengthening sport culture through values-based leadership.

The resulting initiative, Rooted in Values, required an annual impact report demonstrating the program’s effectiveness and supporting future funding opportunities.

Leadership wanted the report to:

  • Clearly communicate the purpose and outcomes of the program

  • Highlight the importance of proactive sport culture initiatives

  • Address growing concerns around safe sport incidents

  • Strengthen the organization’s case for continued funding

Previous reporting formats had been heavily operational and lacked a compelling narrative.

The report was designed around a clear narrative structure linking program activities to strategic impact. Key steps included:

  • Working with program participants to identify key program outcomes

  • Identifying themes highlighting sport culture and leadership development

  • Translating program data into clear storytelling
